Welcome to the Foundations Academy

Foundations Academy is where curiosity is nurtured, relationships are built, and learning begins—one meaningful moment at a time.

Foundations Academy at Bright Imaginations Preparatory Schools is where learning begins with purpose. Designed for our youngest learners, this program provides a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich environment that honors each child’s natural curiosity, growth, and individuality. Through responsive caregiving, hands-on exploration, early language exposure, and intentional play, we lay the groundwork for confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our Foundations Academy supports the whole child—socially, emotionally, and cognitively—building the strong foundation children need to thrive as they grow.

Program Highlights

Hands-on Learning

In Foundations Academy, play is purposeful. Our youngest learners explore the world through hands-on experiences that support brain development, curiosity, and early problem-solving. Through sensory-rich activities, movement, and intentional play, children begin to understand cause and effect, build early thinking skills, and develop a joyful relationship with learning.

Examples of Early Experiences

Self & Social Development

Strong relationships are the foundation of early learning. In Foundations Academy, children develop a sense of self through consistent routines, nurturing relationships, and responsive caregiving. Our program supports social-emotional growth by helping infants and toddlers feel secure, understood, and valued.

Foundational Learning Spaces

Our learning environments are thoughtfully designed to support exploration, movement, and comfort. Foundations Academy spaces invite infants and toddlers to safely explore both indoors and outdoors, supporting physical development and sensory integration.

Wonderful Wobblers

Serving children ages 1218 months

Our Wonderful Wobblers program is thoughtfully designed to support children as they transition from infancy into early toddlerhood. This stage of development is marked by rapid physical growth, emerging independence, and increasing curiosity about the world around them.

The Wobbler classroom provides a gentle, developmentally appropriate bridge for children who have outgrown the infant environment but are not yet ready for a more active toddler setting. Instruction and care focus on building confidence, balance, communication, and early problem-solving skills within a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment.

  • In the Wonderful Wobblers classroom, we focus on:
  • Strengthening balance, coordination, and gross motor development
  • Encouraging early independence and self-help skills
  • Supporting emerging communication and social interaction
  • Providing predictable routines that foster security and confidence
  • Purposeful play experiences that support cognitive development

Two Year Olds

Infant Room Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Serving Ages: 24–36 months

The toddler years represent a period of extraordinary growth and discovery. Research shows that the first three years of life are among the most critical for brain development, laying the foundation for learning, behavior, and emotional well-being. During this stage, children rapidly develop language, independence, and social awareness.

At Bright Imaginations, our Toddler Program is intentionally designed to nurture curiosity while providing the structure and guidance toddlers need to feel secure and confident. Through developmentally appropriate instruction and the use of Creative Curriculum, our educators create engaging experiences that support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our Toddler Program focuses on developing:

  • Confidence and curiosity through purposeful exploration
  • Early self-regulation, cooperation, and social awareness
  • Communication skills during this important period of rapid language growth
  • Independence through consistent routines and supportive guidance

Learning is supported through:

  • Daily reading, singing, and a language-rich, print-rich classroom environment
  • Meaningful conversations and interactive engagement with peers and teachers
  • Early math concepts introduced through hands-on exploration, sorting, matching, and spatial awareness
  • Sensory-rich experiences that encourage children to touch, explore, observe, listen, and manipulate materials
  • Fine-tuning self-help skills such as potty training readiness, independent eating and drinking, dressing, and basic grooming

Our Toddler Program balances nurturing care with intentional learning experiences—helping children build the confidence, communication skills, and independence needed to successfully transition into preschool.
